Latest series of abstraction work emphasizing thought suspension and increased experimentation. Details available under the Series 5.3 category in the Art in Progress blog.

These are all 18″x24″, a variety of mixed media: collage, tempera paint, charcoal and/or pastel. They are all available for sale unless otherwise noted. If there is a work here you feel you must own, but it’s out of your price range, please inquire anyway and we’ll see what we can work out.

Abstractions Series 2 (Sept – Oct 2011)

With this work I entered a new phase of abstraction. They are done very quickly and intuitively, in this respect they are often carry a freer feel when doing them and are more effective for thought suspension. They often employ gesture, movement, line sensitivity and emotion. All are primarily charcoal, though chalk pastel sometimes entered the picture. These are all 18″x24″, mixed media charcoal and/or pastel. They are all available for sale unless otherwise noted. They are priced at a pay-what-you-can.. suggested minimum $50.

EXCEPTIONS: A few are listed as Not For Sale, for now, because I want to show them in a finished, framed format at some point.

Stick Figure Series (Summer 2009)

When people say they can only draw stick figures I laugh. I am the same way. This concept/subject may at some point be revisited in a new series.

All drawings done in charcoal, with the exception of some wax conte crayon. Drawn on newsprint or standard drawing. These have yellowed just a bit over time, however not well represented in photos.
